Estimator
We have a brilliant opportunity for a Sales Estimator to join us at BJS Fabrications. If you are passionate about delivering excellent customer service, good with computer skills and keen to progress in an industry that you can build a career in, then this role could be for you. This is a great opportunity for a confident, outgoing individual who is happy to liaise with customers by phone and email to deal with enquiries and process orders. Ideal candidates would be those currently working within a customer service type role or those already in a sales or estimating position.
Person Specification
Specific responsibilities will vary depending on skills, experience and previous levels of operation. There is scope either to grow into this role or to come straight in at a higher level if you already have good prior knowledge and experience in this sector.
Key aspects of the role may include some or all of the following:
Dealing with customer enquiries and providing quotes for work using our in-house quotation software.
Reading engineering drawings and incorporating requirements into quotes.
Understanding different types of material (mild and stainless steels, aluminium, copper and more) and providing advice to customers.
Building full understanding of our internal laser cutting, press braking, CAD & powder coating facilities to make sure that we give comprehensive guidance to both existing and prospective customers.
Provide excellent customer service.
Manage customer accounts consistently and comprehensively.
Convert and process enquiries into orders in line with company lead times.
Communicate regularly with customers to keep them updated on the progress of their orders.
Use negotiating skills to win orders at the right prices for the business.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure our customers receive an excellent all-around service.
Key Responsibilities
How to put together a customer quotation.
Knowledge of Fabrication, laser cutting & powder coating.
Knowledge of metals and the metal industry.
How to read engineering drawings.
CE marking and ISO standards.
Rate dependant on skill level.
Working hours
Monday - Thursday : 08:00am - 16:30pm
Friday : 08:00am - 14:30pm
Overtime available up to 2 hours a day.
Breaks:
9:30am - 9:45am
12:00pm - 12:30pm
2:50pm - 3:00pm (Monday - Thursday)
